Y.P.E. Summer
July 9 to Sept. 10, Friday nights, 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Corner of Humboldt Ave. and Townsend St. in Dorchester
YPE Summer offers:
- Sports and Recreation
- “Teen Cafés”: youth-hosted discussions, guest speakers, youth performers, and community gatherings, music and performances
- Movie Nights
- Basketball Tournament
- Interpersonal Skills
- Violence Reduction
- Community Involvement

Y.P.E. Afterschool
Evening Afterschool begins November 2010
WHO: Youth between the ages of 14-18 (up to 20 will be accepted). You can be from any school, or even out of school!
WHEN: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 PM to 8 PM.
Some Saturday activities, such as field trips, service activities or sports events, are also offered.
WHAT: The Afterschool promotes positive self esteem; mutual respect; leadership development; learning/education; spirituality; having fun; and building community.
Curriculum topics include:
Personal Practices
• The Family as Launch Pad
• Unleashing Creative Energy and Expression
Choosing Wellness
• Emotional Health
• Physical Health
Spiritual Health
Healthy Relationships
• Gender Dynamics and Friendship
• Violence in Relationships/Conflict Transformation

Youth for Peace and Empowerment includes CMS, St. Mark Congregational Church, Bethel Pentecostal Church, and Greater Generations Tabernacle Church.
